| - | General Psychologists are individuals registered for general psychological practice - the Board does NOT register or recognise specialist titles. |
| - | Specific Psychologists are individuals registered in limited circumstances for a finite period of psychological practice, usually in a university environment. |
| - | Provisional Psychologists are individuals in the process of completing either an approved higher degree and/or a period of approved supervised practice seeking to gain general registration. |

Important note when searching the Register
When searching the Register, please remember not to confuse First Name (Forename) and Last Name (Surname) as your query will result in no records being found. If you don’t appear to find a record on the Register which you might otherwise expect to be there, please try limiting your query to just last name OR registration number, for example. Please also key accurately and if you are unsure of the spelling of a surname, attempt keying only the first few letters and thus expanding the scope of your search. If you attempt too narrow a search with multiple criteria (i.e. Registration No + First Name + Last Name + Status + Post Code) for example, a slight error in any one search field, even if all other search criteria are correct, will result in no records being found.
